Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS and its dual SIM feature to be launched in Europe next month
The Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS is a strange model from the Korean based manufacturer. Considering it has a 5 inch screen, but only WVGA resolution (pixel density is 186ppi), and a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, you might think that this is Samsung's attempt to bring a decently spec'd smartphone to the masses. But with a expected price of 4,444 UAH in Ukraine ($547 USD) where it will launch next month, it hardly seems that Samsung is playing Robin Hood. This is the GT-I9082 or the version of the phone that comes with dual-SIM capabilities.
Coming in Metallic Blue and Elegant White, the phone has 1GB of RAM for you multi-taskers out there, and 8GB of native storage. The 64GB capacity microSD slot allows you to expand your mind memory and a 2100mAh battery is charged with keeping the power on. There is an 8MP camera on back and a 2MP shooter up front and Android 4.1.2 is installed out of the box giving you Project Butter smoothness and Google Now's timely information.
A strange duck indeed, mostly because of the resolution on the screen and the use of a dual-core processor, no doubt Samsung cut corners to get the price under a certain point. Once the dual-SIM version is launched, the Samsung Galaxy Grand (GT-I9080) with just a single SIM card will be released. Outside of the difference with the SIM cards, the specs are the same.
