Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) receives its Bluetooth cetification
A bit more than a week ago, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) received certification from the Wi-Fi Alliance. Today, it appears that the handset has received certification from the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group). The phone proudly wears the model number of SM-A520F, and we expect to see a 5.2-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. A Samsung Exynos 7880 chipset is under the hood with an octa-core 1.88GHz CPU, and the Mali-T860 MP4 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of native storage.
The device comes with a 13MP rear camera, and a front-facing selfie snapper of an unknown size. Android 6.0.1 is expected to be pre-installed, and the unit will sport a Type-C USB port on the bottom. The phone bears a very strong resemblance to the Samsung Galaxy S7 thanks to the rounded corners and the metal and glass build.
With certification received from the Bluetooth SIG and the Wi-Fi Alliance, it would seem that the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is not that far away from taking place. We still might end up seeing the device certified in China by TENAA, and in the U.S. by the FCC.
