It appears that the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) is getting prepped for an update. On Geekbench, the phone was benchmarked with Android 7.0 installed. The rest of the specs included the Exynos 7580 chipset powering the handset. The phone was tested with an octa-core CPU running at a clock speed of 1.6GHz, and 2GB of RAM was on board.
On Geekbench, the model number of the phone tested was SM-A525F, which is actually a variant of the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017). But the specs listed match up perfectly with the 2016 model of the Galaxy A5, which is the model we believe was actually benchmarked with Nougat inside.
The rest of the specs on the phone that weren't part of the Geekbench test include a 5.2-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. 16GB of internal storage is carried by the handset, with 10.8GB available to the user. A 13MP rear-facing camera is equipped with an f/1.9 aperture and OIS. Selfie snappers get to use the front-facing 5MP camera. Keeping the lights on is a 2900mAh battery, and a fingerprint scanner is embedded in the home button.
