Samsung could be preparing a cheaper Galaxy A4, launch could happen soon
Samsung Galaxy A8

Samsung’s numerous smartphone launches each year allow it to cover virtually every single price point possible. The extensive Galaxy J series caters towards entry-level consumers, the brand’s Galaxy A devices are positioned in the mid-range segment, and the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note lines occupy the premium segment. However, if a new Bluetooth certification is any kind of indication, it appears Samsung may have spotted a small gap in its lineup.

Expected to sit below the Galaxy A8 and A8+, and the Galaxy A6 and A6+ which all arrived earlier this year, multiple variants of what will seemingly be called the Galaxy A4 have received their Bluetooth certification, which suggests a launch could happen in the near future. Specifically, SM-A460F, SM-A460F_DS, SM-A460N, SM-A460U, SM-A460X, SM-A460XN, and SM-A460XC have all been spotted, indicating that each variant will likely be aimed at a certain region according to the LTE bands necessary. Moreover, the SM-A460F_DS model number also suggests that Dual-SIM capabilities will be on offer in at least some markets. In regards to what can be expected from the smartphone, an Infinity Display is highly likely, as is an aluminum build to match the one seen on the Galaxy A6 duo. Internally, however, details are yet to be confirmed.

When it comes to a release date, Samsung has not made any official comment in regards to the smartphone. However, considering it has received its Bluetooth certification, the Galaxy A4 could be announced as soon as next month. What remains unclear at this point in time, though, is whether it will be joined by a slightly more impressive Galaxy A4+ upon launch.
