Samsung Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 (2017) prices surface
Samsung is off to a flying start in 2017: the new Galaxy A (2017) series are now official, with three phones in the lineup.
First and most affordable is the 4.7" Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017), then comes the 5.2" Galaxy A5 (2017), and finally the best-spec'ced of them all, the 5.7" Galaxy A7 (2017).
We've already told you the specs and the highlights of the new Galaxy A phones: the S7-inspired design with rounded corners, the cool new water protection capabilities and the strange new side-positioned loudspeaker.
What we just learned, however, is the price of the new Galaxy A (2017) series. The phones will first go on sale in Europe, so prices are in euro, but as soon as we have information about whether the phones will be available in the United States, we'll spread the word.
- Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) official price (MSRP): €330
- Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) official price (MSRP): €430
- Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) official price (MSRP): €500
One of the first markets where the phones will launch is Russia, but interestingly, the official prices there will be substantially higher (likely due to different tariffs than in the European Union): the Galaxy A3 (2017) is expected to sell for 25,000 Russian roubles, or €400, the A5 (2017) will go for 30,000 roubles, or €470, while the A7 (2017) will sell for 35,000 roubles, or €550.
This time around, Samsung seems to have some really well-rounded phones for its mid-range. The new Galaxy A series have USB-C connectivity, and seem solid all-around. Let's see what other companies will bring to retaliate to that.
