Samsung GT-P5200 surfaces on AnTuTu, Galaxy S4-like performance
The Samsung GT-P5200 has just surfaced with a score on Android benchmark app AnTuTu and it’s got a super fast result of 24 616, in line with the Samsung Galaxy S4 and all other heavyweights.
Judging from the model number, the GT-P5200 is likely the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. What’s interesting is that Samsung is said to no longer use the “GT-PXXXX” naming scheme for tablets and this means the result right here is from a very early prototype. That’s good news as it would also mean the final device performance might be even better.
The new Samsung tablets go by model names starting with “SM-Txxx”. This Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 should have a 1.6GHz processor and it could be a quad-core or an octa-core one. Also, it’d feature a 10.1-inc 1280 x 800 pixel screen, nothing even close to retina and run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. That would make it a relatively affordable device.
Let’s see if Samsung officially announces something about it soon, but for the moment it’s all unofficial.
