Samsung GALAXY Note getting closer to US debut?
Even though its gargantuan 5.3-inch display is probably not going to suite the tastes of the average Joe, we are sure that there are plenty of geeks across the U.S. waiting to get their hands on a Samsung GALAXY Note. Well, it will still take a few more months of tweaking until the device is ready to set foot on U.S. soil, but on the hardware side, the Samsung GALAXY Note may be pretty much finalized already.
The guys at Pocketnow have obtained a couple of spy shots showing the GALAXY Note in what could very well be a Samsung office. But a hardware change that becomes apparent could be an indication that the device in the photos is the U.S. variant of the Samsung GALAXY Note. If you take a closer look at the European version of the device, you will see that it has a set of three buttons underneath its display. However, the GALAXY Note in the spy shots has a set of four capacitive Android buttons instead. An identical hardware change was done to the U.S. versions of the Samsung GALAXY S II prior to their launch, meaning that the U.S. GALAXY Note model might follow suit.
It is not quite clear, however, which carrier is going to add the Samsung GALAXY Note to its lineup, and whether the new set of buttons will be the only hardware change the device will undergo before it is ready for its U.S. debut. Hopefully, all these details will become known the forthcoming months.
