Amazon has been trigger-happy with the US versions of the Samsung Galaxy S before. With the EPIC 4G, which is quite an addition to the Galaxy S stable, with its 4G speeds, slide-out QWERTY and LED flash, Amazon are again offering a fairly sweet deal to convince you to get the phone off their hands, instead of buying it from Sprint.
The web retailer has the EPIC 4G listed for $199, with free two-day shipping, while at Sprint the same handset costs $350 before a $100 mail-in rebate. Thus you save 50 bucks, and the drama around mail-in rebates, unless you love clipping stuff and mailing it out.
The offer is valid with a qualifying two-year service plan from Sprint, and the phones should start shipping today. Amazon gives itself a leeway here, warning that there might be slight delays, due to the high demand for the handset. Any takers?
