Samsung Droid Charge delayed?
Verizon seems to struggle (and struggle hard) to release its LTE-enabled handsets in timely manner. First it was the HTC ThunderBolt, then the Motorola DROID BIONIC was postponed until the summer (it's almost certain that the phone which is to be launched as the Motorola DROID BIONIC won't be the one we saw at CES, but the model internally known as Targa), and now Engadget is citing an "internal mail", which allegedly says that the Samsung Droid Charge is delayed. Duh.
According to the leak, Verizon hasn't set a new release date for the handset which was scheduled to launch today. Interestingly enough, the reason behind this postponement is cited as "unexpected delays" - make of this what you want, but it's really strange that Verizon is delaying a highly-anticipated handset in the very last minute.
As of now, it's unknown whether this has anything to do with the ongoing LTE outage. The good news is that it's reported Big Red's 4G network is gradually regaining conscious in different states.
