SIM-free iPhone X now available in the US

As of today, December 4, Apple is officially selling an unlocked,SIM-free iPhone X in the US.As you probably know, until now, your only option (on Apple's website) was to buy the smartphone with a SIMcard from one of the four major US carriers: T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint.



 



With a SIM-free iPhone X, you have the freedom to activatethe device on any carrier, whenever you want. The SIM-free iPhone X isavailable in silver and space gray, and is priced similarly to carrierversions: $999 (64 GB model) and $1,149 (256 GB model). Apple currently says it can shipboth models in 5 business days.  



 



In case you're wondering, both the SIM-free, and thecarrier-specific iPhone X versions that Apple is selling on its officialwebsite come unlocked, as long as you're paying their full price upfront(though carrier versions are shipped with SIM cards anyway).
