As of today, December 4, Apple is officially selling an unlocked,SIM-free iPhone X in the US.As you probably know, until now, your only option (on Apple's website) was to buy the smartphone with a SIMcard from one of the four major US carriers: T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint.

With a SIM-free iPhone X, you have the freedom to activatethe device on any carrier, whenever you want. The SIM-free iPhone X isavailable in silver and space gray, and is priced similarly to carrierversions: $999 (64 GB model) and $1,149 (256 GB model). Apple currently says it can shipboth models in 5 business days.

In case you're wondering, both the SIM-free, and thecarrier-specific iPhone X versions that Apple is selling on its officialwebsite come unlocked, as long as you're paying their full price upfront(though carrier versions are shipped with SIM cards anyway).

So, are you thinking of getting a SIM-free iPhone X anytimesoon?
