Rogers' Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 to get Android 4.3 in January
A leaked document shows that the Rogers branded version of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will be receiving Android 4.3 in January. The document mentions the compatibility to the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch for the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung GALAXY Note II and the Samsung Galaxy Mega.
But in order to support Sammy's smartwatch, the Galaxy Mega 6.3 will have to be updated to Android 4.3, which the document says will happen in January. While this means that the update will be available for the king-sized handset, each operator has its own schedule depending on things like carrier testing. So if you own the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, it is quite possible that sometime not terribly long after the ball drops in Times Square, you will have your update to Android 4.3 and the Galaxy Gear support that some of you apparently crave.
