Rhapsody for Android now in beta, 7 day free trial available
Subscription music service Rhapsody has announced on its blog Tuesday that it is starting a public beta program for its new Android application. If you own any Android handset and want to be part of the test group, you need to visit Rhapsody's Facebook page by clicking on this link. Members and new users choosen to participate in the program will receive the beta program next week. Non-subscribers are also eligible to join the testing and will receive 7 days of the service for free.
As we originally told you months ago, Rhapsody for Android was supposed to have started service before the end of the year. Now that the ball has dropped in Times Square, it looks like music fans with an Android phone don't have much longer before they are shelling out $15 a month for the service. The applications has been designed with the multi-tasker in mind as users will be able to listen to streaming music from a library of over 8 million tracks, call a buddy to discuss the latest episode of Kitchen Nightmares and check out the latest tweet from HTC about Windows Mobile 7 on the HTC HD2.
