Report: Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus to outsell the Galaxy S8
Samsung has discovered that people would rather pay up for the more expensive Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, than purchase the Samsung Galaxy S7. Some data suggests that 70% of the line's sales belong to the premium model that carries the dual curved-edge screen. With that in mind, a new report says that Samsung will produce more units of the premium Samsung Galaxy 8 Plus than the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Samsung hasn't confirmed that there will be a Galaxy S8 Plus model. But since the Galaxy S8 is believed to have an edge-to-edge display, there is no reason to have a Galaxy S8 edge model. Instead, there has been talk about a Galaxy S8 Plus with a larger 6.2-inch dual-curved edge screen (the Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.7-inch display). In fact, the difference in screen size could be the only difference between the two versions of Samsung's next flagship phone.
We expect to see a 60-second video of the Samsung Galaxy S8 displayed at MWC later this month, with an official unveiling taking place on March 29th.

If Samsung follows the game plan it used successfully with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, it will produce more Galaxy S8 Plus units than Galaxy S8 handsets keeping that 7:3 sales ratio in mind.
