Renders of the 10.5-inch and new 12.9-inch iPad Pro models surface
A little over a week ago, KGI securities Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple would be unveiling its new 10.5-inch Apple iPad Pro at WWDC next month. Today, render artist Benjamin Geskin posted what he says are renders for both the unannounced 10.5-inch Apple iPad Pro, and a new unannounced 12.9-inch iPad Pro model. Also included are cases for both tablets. Geskin's renders reveal that despite rumors to the contrary, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro will not be bezel-free. The bezels will be reduced in size, however.
Geskin says that the side bezels weigh in at 7mm, which is nearly twice the 4mm bezels expected on the iPhone 8. The Touch ID/home button will not be mechanical, but will leave the user feeling as though he/she just pressed on a real button.
Originally, there was talk that Apple had squeezed the 10.5-inch iPad Pro screen into the same size form factor as the 9.7-inch model. The only way to accomplish that would be for Apple to reduce the size of the bezels and embed Touch ID under the front display. But Geskin says that these will not be features on the 10.5-inch iPad Pro model
