Razer Phone 2 receiving Android 9 Pie update: 4K/60 fps video recording, adaptive battery
Razer promised last week that the long-awaited Android 9 Pie update will finally be available for download for Razer Phone 2 owners at some point this week. Although Razer isn't doing so great when it comes to smartphones, the company reiterated its support for its current devices, at least for a while.
Earlier today, Razer's global marketing manager, Khang Thai confirmed his company has kicked off the global roll-out of Android 9 Pie for the Razer Phone 2. Now, such a major update brings a lot of new features and improvements, but Razer insisted on mentioning some of its own.
For example, applying the update will allow Razer Phone 2 users to capture 4K/60fps videos, but there are other important improvements included as well, such as Adaptive Battery, Gesture Navigation, Digital Wellbeing support, Notification Management, and February security patch.

It's unlikely that the Razer Phone 2 will receive any other major Android OS update seeing that the company recently fired most of the staff working for its mobile division, but not entirely impossible.
