Radio Shack to offer free T-Mobile phones this weekend and no family plan is required
T-Mobile is giving away its phones Saturday, as we have reported. Of course, a new 2 year contract is required as is activation on an existing or new family plan. Radio Shack is willing to do a little bit better. Saturday only, the electronics retailer will give away T-Mobile branded phones at its stores that offer T-Mobile service. And while a new 2 year contract is required, a family plan is not. Also, the buyer will get a $35 credit essentially removing the activation free from the transaction. As long as supplies remain in stock, you might be able to snag the navigation-centric Garminfone, or the myTouch 3G Slide for free. Dads, make sure that you don't go around telling your family about this deal. That way, when you make the suggestion to drive to T-Mobile or Radio Shack on Saturday, it will seem like an off the cuff suggestion instead of that desperation dash to pick up that HTC HD2 you've wanted for months.
