In their continuing attempt to get the BlackBerry PlayBook into the hands of more consumers, RIM is throwing on a limited time promotion that’s aiming to rewarding loyal BlackBerry smartphone owners who are contemplating on buying the PlayBook.
Only available to US and Canada residents, RIM is offering $100 prepaid gift cards for those BlackBerry smartphone owners buying the PlayBook. Part of their back-at-school promotion, this is a great way of nudging those on the fence about buying the QNX powered tablet – and it’s even sweeter if it complements any of the existing sales out there for it. However, RIM is only limiting one claim per PlayBook and up to three claims per household at the maximum.
Obviously, you’ll need to be an existing BlackBerry smartphone owner in order to qualify, but there are additional things you’ll need to do in order to get your prized gift card – like mailing a copy of your receipt. Even though there’s still plenty of time to think things over, just remember that this promotion is only valid until September 22nd.
