The BlackBerry 6 OS that will soon be making its way to RIM's handsets has a much more visual way of doing things than what the current OS provides for. As a result, RIM has re-filed a patent for the conference call interface for BlackBerry phones. And just like you would expect to see with the strong optical focus on the upcoming OS, the new interface gives the user a way to use avatars to represent callers, posts names and phone numbers below each callers symbol, and allows for quick access to add a caller or to end a call. The entire feeling is as fresh and intuitive as anything you can find on the Android or the iPhone OS. If the rest of the new 'Berry OS is anything like the re-filed conference call UI, it looks like RIM has found the perfect balance between work and play.
