Q4 launch for HTC One Max likely
HTC CMO Ben Ho told a Taiwan based publication on Monday that HTC plans on launching "a variant of its flagship One series in the fourth quarter" of this year. Considering that the HTC One mini has already been released in some markets, that would leave the HTC One Max as the only HTC One variant remaining. The Taiwan based manufacturer's first phablet has not yet been announced, but there is still quite a buzz about the device nonetheless. And now we can expect the large-screened version of the HTC One to launch next quarter.
HTC is also slowing down the pace of its releases in 2013. Ho said, "we had launched too many products in the past, so we have become more cautious this year." Besides the HTC One Max, two to three mid-range models in the HTC Desire series are expected to be pushed out in 2013. Recently, the HTC Desire 500 was officially introduced.
