The 256GB Galaxy S23 Ultra in Green is available at Amazon. The smartphone retails for $230 off its usual price, but there are limited quantities available.
Needless to say, the most interesting phone in this trio is the S23 Ultra as Samsung already revealed the custom 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor that will go and serve main camera duties there.
The new 200MP sensor is pretty amazing as it can deliver pixel binning down to the 12.5MP resolution range for one giant virtual pixel to collect light when there is almost none of it around. Leaked S23 Ultra low-light photos show that it is indeed superior to the camera on the Galaxy S22 Ultra in that respect, if the images hold water in the end.

Another impressive camera achievement that the Galaxy S23 Ultra may bring, however, is that the optical periscope zoom quality may be improved even further on top of what's already the best one out there on its predecessor. Equipped with very similar hardware for its 10x optical - 100x Space Zoom digital magnification, the S23 Ultra reportedly managed to pull the 30x magnification shot that you see below that has the clarity of a 20x magnification result from the S22 Ultra.
While this is all arbitrary until we make our own S23 Ultra vs S22 Ultra zoom camera comparison, the improvements may have something to do with the fact that Samsung can play with 200MP resolution for outstanding crop zoom results, and then fuse it with the info from the optical zoom camera for clearer, more detailed zoom shots.

Furthermore, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy may have allowed Samsung to augment its computational photography algorithms so that it can seamlessly merge more shots from different cameras much faster than before, resulting in camera superiority over the S22 Ultra.

It won't be the first time that Samsung sells an ultra high-res sensor to other phone makers to brag with, like its last 108MP and 200MP products, but keeps their customized version for itself and the Galaxy S Ultra line.

Not that the 108MP sensor of the S22 Ultra is a slouch, even though it's getting a bit long in the tooth as Samsung has been using such sensors for three years in a row now, but the 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor could be a real gamechanger in the world of mobile photography, especially when coupled with the unsurpassed zoom abilities of the Galaxy S23 Ultra for one overall outstanding camera kit.
