PowerDirector from Cyberlink allows touch editing of movies on Windows 8 slate
Windows 8 is on the horizon, and there are plenty of applications being developed for Microsoft’s new flagship operating system. Cyberlink is known for its PowerDVD and YouCam software and they are hard at work developing touch-optimized video editing tools for PowerDirector.
The app will be available when Windows 8 debuts. A touch version of the app will be available as a stand-alone program and is expected to cost between $10 to $15. However, if you purchase the full version of PowerDirector, the touch friendly version is free.
PowerDirector allows users to import different types of video formats and trim the files using common finger gestures. Final edits can be delivered in full HD 1080p, and the program makes it easy to share your video masterpiece to YouTube or Facebook directly from the program. Or, you can export it from your Windows 8 tablet to your desktop with the full version of PowerDirector to use some desktop editing tools.
