Poll results: How often do you use your phone's personal assistant (Google Now, Siri, Cortana)?
Users of Android constitute by far the biggest group in total (73.79%) and are therefore over-represented. Apple's platform took 14.43% of the votes, leaving Microsoft's with 11.78% of the votes. Between those three distinct platforms, Google Now is far and away the most popular digital assistant, with some 18.68% of Android users claiming that they use it daily (versus 2.09% for Siri and 6.19% for Cortana), 12.38% saying that they count on it once every two or three days (2.01% for Siri, 1.93% for Cortana), and 11.63% on a weekly basis (2.84% for Siri, 1.97% for Cortana).
Interestingly enough, it turns out that the Windows Phone community, while least represented here, is actually liking their platform's digital assistant best – just 14.38% of all voters in their camp say that they never make use of Cortana. In comparison, that number is much higher over at Google's and Apple's tents – 42.14% and 51.9%, respectively. Of course, a sample of 2,500 votes isn't large enough to be considered representative of the entire population, especially since a large part of our audience is of the power user type, and yet it's clear that Cortana is definitely something of a favorite feature over at Windows Phone.
