Pixl for Windows Phone gets 8 new filters
Pixl is an app for Windows Phone users that takes pictures from Flickr and adds a whole new UI, allowing you to see which photos were taken near you in chronological order. You can also see what pictures are the most popular on Flickr at any given time. Sign in with your Flickr user name and password and you will have more personalization. The app has launched first for Windows Phone with iOS and Android versions on the way.
An update to version 1.1 has just been rolled out and it adds every photo site's dream feature-filters. At one time last year we had a filter war with Instagram, Flickr and Twitter adding filters on their apps all within a week. Now, Pixl has added 8 filters, all named for neighborhoods in the San Francisco area. The filter names are Original, Haight-Ashbury, Tenderloin, Castro, Hayes Valley, Sunnyside, Nob Hill, Twin Peaks, and Design District.

The app allows you to snap pictures from your Windows Phone and upload it to your Flickr account. If you use Flickr often or love using the camera on your phone (and we all know how well the camera on the Nokia Lumia 920 works), Pixl could be a useful and fun app to install and is a free download from the Windows Phone Store to boot.
