Pictures of the Nokia Lumia 1520 mini appear; possible April release seen
Earlier this month we passed along information about a mini version of the Nokia Lumia 1520, called the Nokia Lumia 1520 V. On Friday and Saturday, leaked photos of the device were posted on a couple of sites out of China. One of the pictures allegedly shows the Lumia 1520 V next to an Apple iPhone, giving us an idea about its size. Right now, the full-sized Nokia Lumia 1520 would be considered the flagship Windows Phone model with top-shelf specs that match up with powerful Android devices. The upcoming Nokia Lumia Icon will supposedly offer the same high-end specs, but with a more pocketable 5 inch screen.
The latest word is that the Nokia Lumia 1520 V will have a 4.45 inch screen with resolution of 768 x 1280. Original reports had the phone carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution on a 4.3 inch screen, but that apparently was too good to be true. A 2370mAh battery will be powering the device, which will offer the 3 columns of Live Tiles like the full-sized phablet.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 V (which stands for Viisi) is expected to be launched in April. So far, no pricing information has been leaked.
