Leaked picture of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0
Last month, we passed along some
speculation involving the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. Now, the buzz around the water cooler is that late next month, the Korean based manufacturer will launch both the 16GB Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Wi-Fi (SM-T3110) and the 16GB Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 3G (SM-T3100). Both models will be dressed up in white.
According to a published report, both tablets are expected to offer an 8 inch screen with resolution of 1280 x 800, and are each powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor with 1.5GB of RAM on board. There is, as we suggested above, 16GB of native storage inside each tablet with a 64GB capacity microSD slot. A 5MP camera is on front of both slates while a 1.3MP snapper is on front. A 4500mAh cell keeps the power on, and Android 4.2.2 is pre-installed. No pricing information was disclosed.
We also have a leaked low-resolution photo of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, which
did get its Bluetooth certification last month. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is definitely aimed squarely at the 7.9 inch
Apple iPad mini. Samsung has already released an 8 inch slate with the
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, but that tablet includes the S Pen and all of the features you might find on the
Samsung GALAXY Note II minus the ability to make phone calls out of the box. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 does not have a stylus and is more of a traditional tablet.
