Adobe says editing app Photoshop CC and drawing app Project Gemini are bound for the iPad next year
During today's Adobe MAX conference in Los Angeles, Adobe demonstrated versions of editing app Photoshop CC and drawing app Project Gemini for the Apple iPad. Both will be coming to the iOS powered tablet in 2019. Adobe says that Photoshop CC for the iPad is redesigned to work on a touchscreen while delivering the "power and precision" of the desktop version. Using Creative Cloud, iPad users will be able to start editing work on the tablet and finish it on the desktop.
According to Adobe, Photoshop CC on the iPad will allow users to open and edit native Photoshop Document files (PSD) and includes the Photoshop layers panel. The Project Gemini app "combines raster, vector and new dynamic brushes into a single app experience built for drawing. Project Gemini enables artists to use and sync their favorite Photoshop brushes and works seamlessly with Photoshop CC."
"Today, we unveiled a portfolio of next-generation creative apps that deliver meaningful value to our community by transforming creative workflows across devices and platforms. By continuing to innovate in our flagship apps, extending into exploding segments such as experience design and social video creation, and pioneering in emerging mediums like touch, voice, 3D and augmented reality, Adobe Creative Cloud has truly become the creativity platform for all."-Scott Belsky, chief product officer and executive vice president, Creative Cloud, Adobe
