Photo of Verizon flavored BlackBerry Priv spotted on social media
A photo of the BlackBerry Priv running on the network of the nation's largest carrier, was spotted Friday on Instagram. Thankfully, we know the phone is running on Verizon because of content on the screen, not because of the Verizon logo. Neither the red check mark associated with the mobile operator, nor the company's name, appears on the front of the phone.
Instead, the upper right of the screen shows that the phone is connected to Verizon Wireless. In addition, one of the notifications on the screen reads "Enhanced Verizon Store visits." Keep in mind that this might not mean anything. Last year, amid rumors that the Sony Xperia Z2 would be offered on Verizon, leaked photos showed the device wearing the Verizon name. However, nothing ever came of it.
Meanwhile BlackBerry itself will be shipping its unlocked model starting on November 6th. This version is not compatible with Verizon or Sprint.

During the summer, tipster Evan Blass sent out a tweet stating that the Priv (known then as the "Venice") would be offered on all four major U.S. carriers, but there is talk that Verizon won't be offering the phone until some time in 2016. None of the U.S. carriers have said anything about whether they are carrying the Priv.
