A little more than a week ago, we told you that Motorola was planning to hold a new product event on August 24th. We assumed that the Moto X4 would be the next Moto device to be unveiled. Well, you know what they say about assumptions; sometimes you get them right on! As it turns out, it does appear that the Moto X4 will be made official this Thursday. Yesterday, we passed along some leaked images of the phone. Today, we have something even better. The official Motorola distributor in Iran has snapped a picture of the phone and the dual-camera setup in back.

There is also some sort of guide for the phone, and a card that lists the handset's specs is propped up so that those doing some window shopping can check out the Moto X4. The device will be equipped with a 5.2-inch display carrying a resolution of 1080 x 1920. A Snapdragon 630 chipset is under the hood with an octa-core CPU, and the Adreno 508 GPU. In North America, Europe, and Latin America, the X4 will feature 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. In the Asia Pacific region, you'll find 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage.

The rear-facing dual cameras weigh in at 12MP (f/2.0, RGB) and 8MP (f/2.2 Wide Angle Lens), and there is a front-facing 16MP selfie snapper. Keeping the lights on is a 3000mAh battery that can be Turbo Charged, and an IP68 certification rating means that the phone can be submerged in water as deep as 5 feet for as long as 30-minutes. With Android Nougat pre-installed, the Moto X4 should be priced at 350 EUR, which is the equivalent of $412 USD.

If you're interested in the Moto X4, circle August 24th on your calendar. That is the date when the handset is expected to become official.
