Pebble update brings long awaited iOS text replies to Verizon customers and more
Smartwatch manufacturer Pebble announced today that it is pushing out updates that will allow iPhone users on Verizon to send text replies containing emoji, pre-written responses, or voice notes. The latter choice is available only for Pebble Time users. Previously, only AT&T users were able to reply to messages over iOS by using text.

Pebble wearers using Verizon will have to update the Pebble app to version 3.11, and have their account verified in order to get the new features. Besides adding iOS text replies for Big Red subscribers, the update improves sleep tracking capabilities with support for naps taken in the afternoon that last more than one hour. The update adds customization options including new vibration patterns. Check out these patterns by going to Menu » Settings » Vibrations from your Pebble watch.

The update allows you to snooze incoming timeline reminders. Snooze such a reminder before the start time of the event, and you will receive a remindercloser to the actual start time. Snooze the reminder after the start time, and you will be buzzed in 10-minutes.

With version 3.11 being received by Pebble users, all iOS and Android apps are being renamed "Pebble" from "Pebble Time." This is being done to underscore the point that these apps support all Pebble Watches powered by firmware 3.0 and higher. Older apps that run on Pebble firmware under 3.0, and support Pebble Classic and Pebble Steel, will be renamed "Pebble OLD VERSION" on iTunes and Google Play.
