One of the drawbacks of the Parrot Party, according to our in-depth review, was the lack of color options for the housing – it was only in white + blue. The Party Black as its name clearly points out, changes this, adding a new option to the family. However, the more interesting fact is that the British Pocket Lint claims it is NFC-capable. This means, that in order to ‘pair’ it with a compatible phone you won’t have to go through various menus (as it happens when connecting through Bluetooth), but just bring the two devices together. We’ve no idea if the music will be transferred also through NFC instead of Bluetooth, which may result in better (or worse) sound quality. However, the Parrot site says nothing about NFC. We will ask our French friends and update you with fresh information soon!
