Pantech Flex for AT&T to be unveiled at Dew Tour 2012
First the good news: AT&T is going to add a new LTE smartphone to its portfolio. The device in question is called the Pantech Flex and it is to be released at some point within the next few months. Now the not so good news: we have no idea what kind of smartphone we are dealing with. The carrier has not revealed neither photos, nor the specs of this upcoming handset. There is even no word as to whether it runs Android or not, although it most likely does, judging by the Pantech smartphones that are currently available on the U.S. market.

Fortunately, it won't be long until the Pantech Flex is revealed to the public as the smartphone's official announcement will take place at the 2012 Dew Tour in Ocean City, Maryland. For those not familiar, the event brings together extreme sports junkies – skateboarders, surfers, and the likes, and will last for three days, starting today. Those who attend will get to see the awesome skateboarding skills of Bucky Lasek and BMX stunts by Brett Banasiewicz.

Our intuition tells us that the Pantech Flex for AT&T will not be all about top-of-the-line specs. Instead, our guess is that the smartphone will be built tough and perhaps will be resistant to the elements, given that its potential audience will be extreme sports enthusiasts. Could it be a Pantech Crossover successor? Who knows, we'll have to wait and see. Stay tuned for updates, guys, and don't hesitate to drop us a line below tell us what you think the Pantech Flex is!
