Panasonic to out a premium Android phone alongside ELUGA, sporting its own display tech and LUMIX camera
Sources close to Panasonic have divulged that apart from the slim ELUGA handset that was just announced, the company will be outing a premium Android smartphone as well.
The unnamed handset is not going to sport an OLED display, but rather Panasonic's own display technology, and also leverage the imaging sensor experience Panasonic is in possession of due to its LUMIX line of digital cameras.
These two features alone make us wait with bated breath for this alleged high-end Android handset from Panasonic, as the company has been traditionally quite innovative in both displays (for its TVs) and the LUMIX camera line technologies. The phone is supposedly dual-core, and is expected to debut at the MWC expo next week
We are also supposed to welcome a consumer-oriented tablet some time this year, where Panasonic will try to pose a different spin to its Android slate lineup, compared to its Toughbook tablet.
