Pair of photos allegedly show off the Apple iPad Pro 2
Everyone has been so focused on the Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus, that they haven't given a moment's thought on any possible new iPad models coming soon. Today, a pair of pictures supposedly taken by a worker in Apple's Asian supply chain supposedly gives us our first look at the Apple iPad Pro 2. The sequel to Apple's 12.9-inch slate is said to be going into production in September with a model number of MH1C2CD/F.
The tablet pictured has just enough native memory to install iOS and some apps for testing. That would make this Apple iPad Pro a pre-production or prototype model. In fact, it appears that the latest version of the iOS 10 beta is running on the device. While no other information about the iPad Pro 2 can be determined from the leak, we do expect it to be powered by the Apple A10X chipset and include the Two Tone display that debuted with the 9.7-inch Apple iPad Pro. The feature allows the white balance of the screen to automatically adjust to the light around the tablet.
