PUMA Phone starts to go on sale in Europe after lingering in the shadows
Hiding away in the shadows since its sighting back at MWC earlier in the year, the PUMA Phone from Sagem is about to come out of its slumber and slither its way into Europe. One of the mobile carriers lined up to sell the handset is the Italian MVNO PosteMobile which utilizes Vodafone's network. They're actually selling the phone for €299 ($360) and throwing some support to the sports oriented handset by running an attractive promotion that simply allows users to win up to €500 in “telephone traffic.” Even though our friends across the big pond are finally seeing a launch happening for the PUMA Phone, there is already work underway with a successor that's sure to attract people with Android on board. Regrettably, US consumers will have to find a way to import the handset as Sagem made it clear that the PUMA Phone is not going to be offered stateside.
