OtterBox Defender cases for the HTC One pictured, ready for launch day

The popular OtterBox Defender series will show up with a case model for one of the most talked-about handsets this season, the HTC One, to introduce some ruggedness to the elegant aluminum-clad phone.

We knew they are coming, and even included them in our best HTC One cases roundup, but we've actually never seen them in flesh and blood until now, save for the company's renders.

The kicker is that the Defender cases are coming soon to a store near you, in sync with the HTC One launch, as we just got sent a couple of shots from a retail shop where they are already stockpiling on OtterBox Defenders for the phone. As you can see in the slideshow below, the case format doesn't differ much from the usual rugged styling of the renowned series, and pricing is listed to start at $49.95 on the OtterBox website, likely going lower at places like Amazon and the like.
