Render allegedly shows off the Oppo R19 with in-display front camera; first look at the OnePlus 7?
A render posted the other day on Weibo allegedly reveals the Oppo R19. With razor thin bezels, you would expect to see a notch at the top of the screen. However, instead of a notch, an in-display front-facing camera is shown. Most will prefer seeing a small round sensor on the screen instead of a large notch. In fact, we'd bet that smartphone owners would prefer the look of this render over a smaller teardrop notch.
If this render is legit, the Oppo R19 will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. The back of the phone shows off a gradient color design, and with the vertically mounted dual camera setup in the top center of the rear, the back resembles the Oppo R17. Since OnePlus often "borrows" the design of Oppo phones for its handsets (the design of the Oppo R17 and R17 Pro was "borrowed" for the OnePlus 6T), the render that accompanies this story could be our first look at the OnePlus 7. Oppo and OnePlus do have the same corporate parent.
The render of the Oppo R19 was posted on Weibo by a tipster using the handle of IceUniverse, who has posted reliable tips about upcoming smartphones in the past. We should note that according to the render, the Oppo R19 is expected to be unveiled in March, 2019.
