Oppo Find 9 image leaks; phone to be unveiled next month with two variations?
An image of a phone alleged to be the Oppo Find 9 has been discovered on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo. Rumors about the device have been circulating for some time, and back in April the handset was put through the GFXBench benchmark test. Since then, a more recent leak revealed the latest specs for the Find 9.
The Oppo Find 9 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 (QHD) resolution screen. The device has a near bezel-less design. The Find 9 should be powered by a Snapdragon 821 SoC, and one variation of the phone includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. Two versions of the phone are rumored, so we could see one option with less RAM and a smaller amount of internal memory.
The Oppo Find 9 will reportedly be unveiled in late August. Oppo is known for releasing teasers often, so we wouldn't be surprised to see the manufacturer start promoting the device in earnest pretty soon.

The 21MP rear camera will come with something called "SmartSensor Image Stabilization," which takes OIS out of the lens and puts it into the image sensor. This allows stabilization to take place on three axis instead of the two covered by OIS. It also uses 50 times less battery power than OIS uses. A 16MP camera is on the front of the phone to shoot selfies and handle video chats. Keeping the lights on is a 4100mAh battery; thanks to Super VOOC technology, it will charge up quickly. On board is a Type-C USB 2.0 port.
