Opera Mobile for Android will support both Adobe Flash and HTML5 in its future versions
Opera clarified the roadmap for its popular mobile browser on its official blog on Saturday, saying that the plans are to support both HTML5 and Adobe Flash in the future versions of Opera Mobile. While Flash might be gradually phased out, it is still a dominant force, and the company plans to include it in the next browser versions for all phones that support it, along with HTML5. In Opera Software words:
"The new web technologies aim to replace it, but Flash will be around for some time. If you have Flash player installed on your phone, Opera will support it. Although it's possible to embed videos in Flash, you can have videos directly in HTML5, the same way as images. You can already see HTML5 videos on Youtube."
