Opera has just announced that its data-saving app crossed the 50 million user mark, which is quite an achievement considering that seven months ago
Opera Max had “only” 10 million active users.
And what better way to celebrate that milestone and Christmas than by adding new features to Opera Max. VIP mode is a new functionality available to Opera Max users, which is supposed to allow them to get unlimited savings and
privacy mode services.
Many Opera Max users have complained that data saving and privacy features have been limited in time, so after a while these services are disabled and users are asked to come back after some time and turn it back one while seeing and ad.
However, the new VIP mode provides
Opera Max users with unlimited savings and privacy. Obviously, this doesn't come for free, but it won't require you to pay anything either. In exchange, the application will show you an ad on your charge screen.
Keep in mind that the ad will be visible on the lockscreen, but just when the phone is plugged in to charge. So, you can now switch to VIP mode if you want unlimited access to all features included in
Opera Max, but now an ad will show up on your charge screen (not a big deal, right?).
