OnePlus rewards customers who bought the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition

OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition is a love letter to Star Wars and OnePlus fans alike, so those who bought the smartphone should already feel special. Well, if you're the proud owner of such a device, you'll probably feel even more special knowing that OnePlus will name a star after you.

The Chinese company has just announced it will reward the first 37 customers who purchased the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition by naming a star after each of them. The initiative is possible thanks to OnePlus' partnership with Star Register, world's largest and most recognized commercial registry of stars.

If you ever feel like you want to adopt a star or dedicate one to someone you know, then this is where you want to go. Since Star Register's registry is independent of NASA and IAU (International Astronomer Union), it can offer the public the right to name any star in its database that has not already been named.

Obviously, you'll have to pay a certain amount if you want to name a star after you, but in this case, OnePlus is going to take care of that. So, if you are among the first 37 customers to have bought the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition, you will be given a personalized “Star Wars” constellation and certificate of ownership, as well as details of the star named after you.
