OnePlus 6 will be the first water resistant OnePlus phone
Not long after confirming some important details about the OnePlus 6 - including the fact that it'll pack a Snapdragon 845 processor - OnePlus today revealed another thing about its upcoming flagship phone. More exactly, the company took to Twitter to indirectly confirm that the OnePlus 6 will feature some kind of water resistance.
As you can see in the tweet below, OnePlus knows that customers "hate it" when they can't use a phone because it's raining. The folks at OnePlus say they hate this, too, and that can only mean one thing - the OnePlus 6 is water resistant.
Until now, OnePlus didn't bother to add water resistance to any of its smartphones, so the OnePlus 6 will become the company's very first handset to have some sort of protection in this regard. It remains to be seen what IP certification the device will have.
The OnePlus 6 might look like this, notch included, and could be announced on May 5. The new phone should be about as large as the OnePlus 5T, and we're expecting it to sport a screen measuring around 6 inches. We'll bring more on this as soon as new and relevant information is available.
