OnePlus 5 and 5T finally getting Android 8.1 Oreo, here are all the changes
After using its beta channel to thoroughly test Android 8.1 Oreo for the OnePlus 5 and 5T, an official announcement went live earlier today that confirms the update is now being pushed out to everyone that owns either of the two smartphones.
It's worth noting that it took OnePlus just one month to make Android 8.1 Oreo available to OnePlus 5 and 5T owners. However, the company's mission was much simplified by the fact that both phones were already updated to Android 8.0 Oreo.
If you own the OnePlus 5 or 5T, you can expect some other improvements besides the usual Android 8.1 Oreo stuff, including a newer security patch. In fact, you can find the full changelog below:
System
Gaming mode
Launcher
As OnePlus mentions, the update is incremental and it will take up to a few days to reach to everyone, so be patient if it's not available on your OnePlus 5/5T right away.
