OnePlus 3 getting second Android 7.0 Nougat beta build, here is what's new

OnePlus announced it will update both its high-end smartphones to Android 7.0 Nougat. The Chinese company also said that the update will drop for both the OnePlus 3 and 3T by the end of the year.

However, before getting the Android 7. Nougat update, OnePlus 3 users can enroll in the beta program to receive community builds before the official release. These builds aren't available for OnePlus 3T owners though.

Anyway, if you've been part of the OnePlus 3 beta program then you already received the first Android 7.0 Nougat beta build not long ago. Today, the handset maker released the second Nougat beta build for the OnePlus 3.

The update is rolled out as OxygenOS Open Beta 9 and brings several optimizations, but very few new features. Most of the update is about general bug fixes and tweaks meant to streamline Android 7.0 Nougat before the final release.

According to the official changelog, OnePlus has added expanded screenshots and implemented some shelf design optimizations.

As mentioned earlier, more optimizations to the general UI and DPI have been added too, along with battery enhancements, stability and performance optimizations.

If you've already installed the previous open beta, you will receive the new one via OTA (over the air), but if this is the first beta you want to install on the OnePlus 3, you will have to flash it by ADB sideload.
