Official LinkedIn app for BlackBerry now available
You'd think that LinkedIn would've kept BlackBerry users in mind when it comes to building their mobile apps, but it seemed like an eternity before something finally came to fruition. Of all the available smartphones out there, one would consider RIM's line of BlackBerry devices to easily stand prominent as the handset of choice for business professionals who readily utilizes LinkedIn for their social networking needs. Announced back in the fall, the LinkedIn app for BlackBerry has officially launched finally – it's similar to what's seen on the iPhone version. Not only will you have access to all of your network feed updates, but you'll also have access to your inbox to allow you to send & accept invitations, search direct connections, get profile information, and the app will offer new connections to you. Similar to what we see nowadays with contacts on a device, you'll have the ability to integrate your LinkedIn connections into your address book and view meetings from your profile directly on the calendar. Even though Facebook can sometimes be frowned down upon by your boss, we're pretty sure they won't have any issues seeing LinkedIn on you BlackBerry.
