Official Asus Nexus 7 dock gets hands-on treatment right before release
The Nexus 7 grabbed our best tablet award for the year for not just because its price starts from $200, but also because it is indeed a great tablet. But it is still a bit lacking in accessories when you compare it to Apple’s similar offerings. One thing that will change that is the official audio dock for the Nexus 7, coming soon from Asus itself.
The docking station/audio dock now appears in a full hands-on demo on YouTube, and while we don’t have any news except for what you can see, it would definitely make for a great companion to the compact tablet.
The case is apparently sold in a store called Yodobashi Camera somewhere in Japan, and the person who bought it got a chance to purchase it a day prior to mass release.
Sadly, it’s not yet clear whether it will come to the United States, and outside of Asia. It’s not mentioned anywhere on the official Asus America webpage. We’d keep our fingers crossed, though.
