O2 UK customers who happily greeted the Dell Streak with open arms when it first launched are surely going to be excited about the upcoming highly anticipated Android 2.2 Froyo update. Good things happen to those who wait because that's exactly what's going to be happening very shortly as the Froyo update is expected to arrive some time this week.
Even though the exact date isn't known for sure, at lease they're getting it in time for the holidays – as opposed to something worse like next year. With the update, it'll offer new features to the tablet-like device such as the ability to act as a mobile hotspot, turn-by-turn navigation via Google Maps Navigation, and the ability to update multiple apps simultaneously all from the Android Market.
In the mean time, just constantly keep an eye out on your device to see if that special notification pops up on your Dell Streak to confirm the update's availability.
