O2 Germany now offers the Motorola MILESTONE
Certainly, there is no way we miss the European début of the Motorola MILESTONE. Of course, we are talking about the European version of the famous Motorola DROID – the device that has managed to gain an overwhelming popularity in a snap and is currently on sale through Verizon in the US. Germany is the first country on the old continent where customers can get their hands on the Motorola MILESTONE. The handset based on Android 2.0 has appeared in the product catalogue of O2 and the carrier offers the device for 1 EUR if you sign up for a two-year agreement with a monthly fee of 40 EUR. The cool thing is that the cell phone is completely unlocked and takes SIM cards of other carriers. Unfortunately, the Motorola MILESTONE is not equipped with the free navigational app Google Navigation and the bare-finger friendly MOTONAV that comes pre-installed and with 60-day free trial is a cold comfort really.
We still don´t know how long other Europeans would have to wait before the Motorola MILESTONE becomes available through their local carriers.
