Nomura: 46.5 million units of both Apple iPhone 6 models will ship in Q4
Japan's Nomura Securities has released a report to its clients, in which it says that the 4.7 inch Apple iPhone 6 will be called the Apple iPhone 6 Air. The report also states that the 5.5 inch variant of the device will be known as the Apple iPhone 6 Pro. Earlier this year, there were rumors circulating that the next iteration of Apple's iconic smartphone would use the "Air" name.

Nomura's report also says that Apple will be asking $650 for the Apple iPhone 6 Air and $750 for the Apple iPhone 6 Pro. Another analyst has suggested that we could see a higher price than expected for the phablet-sized iPhone 6 Pro, because of the possibility that it will employ more expensive sapphire glass. Currently, the 16GB Apple iPhone 5s is priced at $649 off contract.

The Japanese stock and bond broker predicts that 46.5 million units of the iPhone 6 (both models combined) will be sold in the fourth quarter of this year. Nomura also estimates that once the iPhone 6 launches, it will account for 73% of global iPhone sales.

Thanks for the tip!
