Nokia won´t be showing anything at MWC 2010
At the beginning of September we asked the question „How would MWC would look like without Nokia?”, because that´s when we first heard rumors that the world´s largest cell phone manufacturer would not take part in Mobile World Congress 2010. Later it turned out that Nokia would actually be there, but would emphasize on its infrastructure business and introduce Nokia Siemens Networks. Thanks to our colleagues at UnwiredView we now officially know that Nokia will not be showing anything at MWC 2010 and is not even in the list of participants. And yes, the mentioned list indicates that Nokia Siemens Networks has been enrolled, although this particular division of the company is not of much interest to consumers, since they focus on infrastructure solutions and not handsets or accessories.
Still, just like the guys with UnwiredView, we do hope that Nokia will organize a separate event and introduce their latest cell phones and services there.
