Nokia outs a new Symbian Anna promo video
We already reviewed the Symbian Anna update, as found on the Nokia X7, but Nokia Australia has now shot a promo video of its own, explaining the new features in this upcoming update for Symbian^3 devices.
While current owners of handsets like the Nokia N8 might not get it before the end of August, new Symbian^3 handsets are being shipped with Symbian Anna preinstalled.
The update includes pretty new icons that look every bit like the ones on the Nokia N9, which is running MeeGo, a portrait QWERTY keyboard, which, together with the landscape one, go split-screen while typing something in the browser, for example, for better visibility. The browser itself is also faster and more streamlined, with new interface.
The other beautification effort has gone into the photo gallery, and there are a number of enhancements for business users, as well as the latest Nokia Maps update, which brings a whiff of the Symbian Belle and MeeGo interfaces. The Nokia N8 will have a customized version of the update, which will bring in continuous autofocus while shooting video, and 30fps capture.
